Mexican automotive industry reports increased domestic sales in December, full year Tuesday, 10 January 2017 01

– The Mexican automotive industrysaw increased production, exports and domestic sales in both December and the full year of 2016, according to data released on Tuesday by the country’s automotive industryassociation, Amia.Mexican auto production in December rose 8.8 percent, year-on-year, to 242,495 units, while exports and domestic sales increased 4.8 and 20 percent to 216,645 units and 192,567 units, respectively, both year-on-year.As for the whole year, auto production totaled 3.46 million units, 2 percent up year-on-year.
