Motor Trend : declared in The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is Capable of 200+ MPH

as declared in The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 managed to hit 202.3 mph in one direction on the 7.6-mile long high-speed oval at Germany’s Automotive Testing Papenburg proving ground.
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 starts at $63,435 (including $995 destination and $1,300 gas guzzler tax) when equipped with the six-speed manual, and $65,830 with the 10-speed automatic (including destination and $2,100 gas guzzler tax).
“It’s the most capable – and fastest – Camaro ever,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer, in a release.
When Motor Trend tested this fast brute, the Camaro hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and completed the quarter mile in an impressive 11.5 seconds at 125 mph.
The ZL1 recorded a top result of 193.3 mph running in the other direction.

Chevrolet took the 2017 Camaro ZL1 to the track, and it’s FAST

Chevrolet took the 2017 Camaro ZL1 to the track, and it’s FASTChevrolet may have been making plenty of noise about its eco-friendly Bolt EV lately, but the 2017 Camaro ZL1 proves it hasn’t forgotten about enthusiasts either.
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 kicks off at $63,435 for the manual coupe (including the $995 destination and $1,300 gas guzzler tax), while the 10-speed automatic is $65,830.
Most owners won’t have access to the latter, though Chevrolet will offer the car with the Performance Data Recorder (PDR).
Billed as the “fastest ever Camaro”, the ZL1 certainly promised a lot on paper, what with its 650 horsepower, supercharged LT4 engine.
Indeed, Chevy says, the only changes made from a stock Camaro ZL1 were the safety equipment mandated by the track, and data logging kit to make sure the numbers add up.
2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE

As it stated in It’s “just” a Camaro SS chassis carrying fewer cylinders and 300 fewer pounds, prodded to pace by Chevy’s sleight of hand.
Now, for the first time, a form of the 1LE package is available for V-6 cars as well as V-8s.
Chevy says an SS 1LE is quicker around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca than the outgoing ZL1 despite being down 125 hp.
What’s more, all that parts sharing helped cut cost: Spec sheet for spec sheet, the V-8 1LE is essentially a budget ZL1.
As in years past, 1LE is a bargain-price options package that maximizes the braking, cornering, cooling, and aerodynamic prowess of a manual-transmission Camaro.
