Mercedes launched a new online service with Google and Amazon

For instance, customers with Google devices can simply say, “Ok, Google, tell Mercedes me to start my car,” and it will remotely start the customer’s car.

Besides the devices, Mercedes-Benz customers will need an active Mercedes me account and an active mbrace© subscription.
With Alexa devices, customers can say, “Alexa, ask Mercedes me to send an address to the car” for remote navigation input and point-of-interest requests.

according to The luxury vehicle maker just launched a new service that allows customers with 2016 and 2017 models to communicate with their cars using Google Home or Amazon Echo.
They’ll also need to own a Google Home or Amazon Echo home automation device.
Owners of new Mercedes-Benz vehicles can now remotely turn on the engine by issuing the above command.
Meanwhile, back in January 2016, Ford announced a partnership with Amazon that not only allows drivers to talk to their cars through Amazon Echo, but also enables them to control connected devices in their homes while on the road.

The connected car experience just got a bump in its offerings courtesy of Mercedes-Benz.
Through the luxury brand’s new 2016 and 2017 models, consumers will have the ability to issue voice commands to the car through Google Home or Amazon Echo.
BMW, Ford and Genesis have made similar announcements earlier this year of integrating Amazon Alexa and Echo connectivity into their car offerings.
Mercedes-Benz just announced this new offering and will be rolling it out in Europe later in 2017.
