Solving the world’s biggest problems in Elon Musk races

Solving the world’s biggest problems is what drives Musk; he hopes to colonise Mars as he believes humanity needs to be a “multi-planetary species”.
Hopefully Africa is on this list, we could benefit from the mega investment and local manufacturing of sustainable energy technology this would bring to the continent.
Rocket-scientist billionaire and exponential thinker Elon Musk recently sat down with TED’s Chris Anderson for a wide ranging interview.
Musk is currently trying to solve Los Angeles’ traffic congestion problems by creating a 3D network of underground tunnels, which “cuts travelling time dramatically and integrates with existing road networks through parking spaces“.
If you still drive on the surface, Tesla cars not only save the environment, they can save you time as Musk recently entered the autonomous car market.

This is where Elon Musk gets his motivation

Tech CEO Elon Musk recently gave a TED Talk in which he discussed his portfolio of businesses, including Tesla, SolarCity and SpaceX.
“I’m just trying to think about the future,” says Musk, “and not be sad.”
Musk, who’s known for his prowess as a business leader as much as he is for his outlandish ideas, also revealed something deeply personal about his leadership style, namely his motivation and why he dreams up the companies he does.

as mentioned in “We need to have at least a ten fold improvement in the cost per mile of tunneling,” Musk said.
Even more efficiency gains can be had by boring tunnels and building the walls to reinforce them at the same time.
Elon Musk Looks Down The Road — And Under It — At TED2017May 2nd, 2017 by Steve HanleyRobert F. Kennedy once said, “Some men see things as they are and say why.
“Currently he’s capable of going 14 times faster than a tunnel boring machine,” Musk said.
Musk says he could do that by cranking up the power of tunnel boring machines.
