2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV Review And Test Drive

That may change with the launch of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV, an all-new, all-electric vehicle.
For all the talk about the electric car (EV), it remains a niche vehicle.
At the launch event that I attended, I didn’t get enough driving time to test Chevy’s 238-mile claimed EV range, but I drove long enough to see that significant range is certainly possible.
All-new from the ground up, the EV rides on a platform that was designed from the start to be all-electric.

as informed in (Without the Bolt charging regularly, I don’t qualify for any of the lease deals, and I don’t have the cash to buy solar panels outright.)
We haven’t been recording the times of day we’ve been charging the Bolt, so I’m going to present a cost range based on both rates.
In total, we’ve spent $57.44 on public chargers so far at an average cost of $6.38 per charge.
Add that all up, and a full charge would cost me $12.00 each day I charge it ($11.00 just for the Bolt).
The longest trip made on a single charge is 205 miles, but on average, we charge the car every 80 miles or so.

If, however, you are prepared to dive into electric car ownership without qualms, the new 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV is a brilliant solution to both affordability and real-world utility.
Still, compared to most gas-fueled compact vehicles, the Bolt EV requires you to pay a pretty steep premium.
Using a standard household outlet, it takes almost 60 hours to fully charge a completely depleted Bolt EV battery.
