The determining factors behind these location choices will be:the strength of local EV markets,proximity,distance from already established EV charging sites, andaesthetic/cultural factors.
Notably, though, around a dozen (or more) national park locations have already reportedly shown interest and are now exploring location possibilities.
Following this event, a team made up of representatives from the organizations referenced above will reportedly be working to identify further locations at and near US national parks where electric vehicle (EV) Charging terminal can be based.

BMW has partnered with the National Park Foundation, National Park Service and Department of Energy to make visiting America’s national parks in an EV more feasible.
CARS.COM — Well, Earth Day revelers, it doesn’t get much greener than this: 100 new electric vehicle Charging terminal at America’s national parks.
“Through this public-private partnership, these organizations can provide opportunities for the use of alternative-fuel vehicles as one way to preserve national parks for future generations to enjoy.”
“The effects of a changing climate have led the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service to focus on minimizing greenhouse gas contributions and reducing drivers’ carbon footprint,” BMW stated.
“The availability of electric vehicle chargers will help reduce air pollution in parks and gateway communities as well as demonstrate the viability of electric vehicles in everyday life,” BMW said in a statement, noting that dozens of parks have already expressed interest.

BMW Will Put Charging terminal in National Parks
Out of America’s 417 national parks, up to 100 new Charging terminal are going to be installed.
This collaboration is going to look at all 417 national parks and figure out where charging stations make the most sense.
BMW is teaming up with the National Park Service and the Department of Energy to expand America’s EV charging network.
Specific sites for the new charging stations are still to be determined.
