Zanardi to get in 2019 Rolex 24 in modified BMW

Alex Zanardi is going to contest the 2019 24 Hours of Daytona in a modified BMW M8 GTE.
The 51-year-old’s plans were reported in a Tweet from BMW Motorsport on Friday.
Jens Marquardt & @lxznr only reported that Alex is going to compete in the 2019 Daytona 24h race in a modified BMW M8 GTE!

“I am delighted that we are going to be working by Alessandro Zanardi on this Fresh project in 2018,” BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt said.

BMW has reported which ex-Formula one & CART racer-turned-Paralympic gold medallist Alex Zanardi is going to get in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2019.
Zanardi enjoyed a successful single-seater career before losing both his legs in a crash at the Lausitzring in 2001, appearing to cut his racing ambitions short.
Zanardi’s following defy is going to see him get in the 24-hour endurance sports vehicle race at Daytona International Speedway in 2019, as reported with BMW on Friday night.

Zanardi to Compete in Modified BMW M8 GTE in 2019 Rolex 24 – Sportscar365

as mentioned in Alex Zanardi is going to compete in the 2019 Rolex 24 at Daytona in a modified BMW M8 GTE, it was reported at the BMW Season description event on Friday evening.
Zanardi Stray his legs following an accident in 2001 however has ever ever competed in various modified BMW race cars , including a Z4 GT3 in the Blancpain GT Series.
He competed in the Total 24 Hours of Spa 2 years ago in a Roal Motorsport-entered BMW alongside Bruno Spengler & Timo Glock.
The 51-year-old Italian is This time preparing for his return to endurance racing at Daytona, where he is going to race the Fresh-for-2018 BMW M8 GTE.
This is going to be 1 year after the vehicle makes its race debut in following 30 days’s running of the endurance classic.
