North Melbourne party: Victoria Police cars smashed with partying teens in Shands Lane. A GROUP of African youths jumped on cars & pelted police by objects as partygoers turned violent on the streets of North Melbourne.

Police pelted, cars damaged as party spins through control

Police officers were pelted by objects & forced to take refuge inside a home When their cars were smashed up after a North Melbourne party spiralled through control. SuppliedA number of police units arrived at the Shands Lane property about 2am on Sunday after neighbours lodged stir complaints.
Inhabitants tell it was the 2nd raucous party to be held at the holiday property in a fortnight.
Police arrived to find up to 50 youths at the party & asked them to leave.
Senior Sergeant Adam Tanner said which as the party-goers dispersed, they began throwing firewood & rubbish bins at police, who took shelter inside the This time-empty home.
