1-year-old boy found inside hot car in Florida dies

A 1-year-old boy who was found inside of a hot car parked outside a home in Delray Beach was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon.
The Delray Beach police responded to the scene on NW Fifth Street, near Military Trail and Lake Ida Road, just after 3:15 p.m. and found the boy inside a BMW.
“The parents may not even know [a child is] missing.”Police say the child may have been inside the car for up to two hours.
Police performed CPR and the child was transported to Bethesda Memorial Hospital by Delray Beach Fire Rescue.
Officers say the boy somehow gained access to the car while playing with other children at the home.

Abuse and neglect detectives are investigating the death of a toddler at a resort south of the Strip Saturday afternoon.
Police said the toddler had been left in a hot car for an undisclosed amount of time in the parking lot of the resort.

Metropolitan police responded to a call of an injured child at the Grandview Resort on 9940 South Las Vegas Boulevard at 4:50 p.m. Officers located a 3-year-old child suffering from heat-related injuries, according to Lt. Carlos Hank.
