The result is the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and it’s the most powerful SUV around, if that’s your thing. Don’t Miss : Galaxy S8 vs. iphone 7 Plus speed test: It’s not even closeThe Trackhawk doesn’t look all that much different from a standard Grand Cherokee, and at first glance it might be easy to mistake it for the also-quite-powerful Grand Cherokee SRT. The speedy SUV is said to have a top speed of 180 mph and can knock out a 1/4 mile in 11.6 seconds. The Trackhawk’s power is obviously meant to make it a menace on pavement, but being a Jeep means it’ll also be able to slightly less ideal road conditions. The modes are customized to handle normal, sport, track, snow, and towing duties, where the vehicle has an impressive tow rating of 7,200 pounds.
As it stated in
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is fast. We dug up a list of 0-60mph times and… well, you can see where we’re going with this. It’s obviously doing a good job, looking at the cars it’s faster than. It’s the size of the moon and weighs about the same as Ayres Rock, but thanks to four-wheel drive, clever launch control and some sort of voodoo incantation, the super-SUV launches to 60mph in a bonkers 3.5 seconds on the way to an 11.6sec quarter-mile. It uses a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 to smoosh 697bhp down through the four wheels, and if that engine configuration sounds familiar, it’s because you’ll find the same basic unit in the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and even the Dodge Demon, albeit in more highly-modified form.
